    Emma Fitzpatrick Marketing

Most social media marketers spend 6-11 hours a week on social media. That includes everything from creating content to analyzing metrics. Simply put, there are not enough hours in the week. Instead of trying to do it all, do more of what works and less of what doesn't. Below are five types of digital content you should invest more in — and five types you can nix from your never-ending to-do list.

  • Change may not be easy in healthcare, but it is possible

    Joan Spitrey Healthcare Administration

Healthcare is one of the most dynamic industries. Not only are new discoveries, modalities, equipment or medications being introduced at a rapid pace, but the unpredictability of taking care of humans and their uniqueness also creates an extra challenge.

  • How are Trump’s new regulations affecting travel to Cuba?

Bambi Majumdar Travel, Hospitality & Event Management

The travel and tourism department had found a new channel of revenue when then-President Barack Obama eased the decades-long restrictions on Cuban travel and tourism in March 2016. Intrepid travelers started planning trips to the sprawling tobacco plantations and historical colonial cities for the upcoming seasons, while Cuban spas and resorts began attracting fun-loving tourists in hordes. Frank R. Myers Law Enforcement, Defense & Security

Several times during my career I had been called out to evaluate a driver engineer/chauffeur having an issue placing a pumper truck into pump gear. Many times, it was due to operator error. The scene of a fire is a high-energy, adrenaline-packed environment. It is common for mistakes to happen when caught up in the excitement. Learning to take control of your emotions and take a step back to rethink what is happening is a good way to solve issues when a situation goes awry.

    Dr. Abimbola Farinde Pharmaceutical

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently added another drug to its growing list of medications that have been removed from the market due to concerns over risk outweighing the clinical benefit of the drug. Typically, drugs are pulled because of harmful side effects, but Opana ER (oxymorphone hydrochloride) is the first drug to be recognized by the FDA as causing harm related to the potential for abuse and addiction. This was largely the result of the increasingly prevalence of the opioid epidemic in America.

  • Golf Q&A: Cal golfer Collin Morikawa

    William Soulé

Collin Morikawa is a rising junior at the University of California, Berkeley (Cal). In his short time at Cal, Moirkawa has worked hard to cement himself as one of greatest golfers in Cal history. In his opening campaign as a Golden Bear, he became the first player in school history to be named to the GCAA All-Freshman team, and he was the second Cal player to be named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. He also finished in a tie for 10th place in the 2016 NCAA Championships at Eugene Country Club, which matched the best-ever finish by a freshman at the event.

  • What’s so bad about charter schools?

    Bambi Majumdar Education

Amid the growing fight between public and charter schools, 2017 has seen several charter schools across the country face legal scrutiny for the way they are run — events that have done nothing to help their cause. As a result, the NAACP has geared up to battle with education reformers by passing a resolution that calls for a moratorium on the growth of charter schools because they don't believe "reform" is at the center of their focus.

  • Preparing the RAC industry for the future

    Andrew Gaved Facilities & Grounds

Europe is currently in the throes of dealing with the impact of the F-Gas regulation. The phasedown of HFCs is now starting to gather pace, and as a 37 percent drop in quota looms next year, the price of the higher-GWP refrigerants such as R404A is going through the roof as supply-and-demand principles kick in.

  • 3 ways to be more strategic

Catherine Iste Business Management, Services & Risk Management

There are things we know, things we know we don't know and — to paraphrase former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld — things we don't know that we don't know. Being strategic often falls into that last category.
