Mayer brings Folds of Honor Military Tribute Program to Princeton
Thursday, November 01, 2018Princeton’s Jake Mayer may only be a sophomore, but he is already stepping into a leadership role. His 11th-place finish at the Georgetown Intercollegiate proved to be crucial in helping Princeton to its first tournament win in three years. However, his biggest impact is coming off the golf course. Mayer was at a tournament in high school when he first heard of the Folds of Honor Military Tribute Program. The program gives high school or collegiate golf teams the opportunity to honor a fallen or wounded American soldier by having a team member carry a golf bag displaying the name, rank, and branch of service of the soldier being honored.

Thursday, July 13, 2017Collin Morikawa is a rising junior at the University of California, Berkeley (Cal). In his short time at Cal, Moirkawa has worked hard to cement himself as one of greatest golfers in Cal history. In his opening campaign as a Golden Bear, he became the first player in school history to be named to the GCAA All-Freshman team, and he was the second Cal player to be named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. He also finished in a tie for 10th place in the 2016 NCAA Championships at Eugene Country Club, which matched the best-ever finish by a freshman at the event.

Q&A: NC State coach Richard Sykes
Thursday, April 20, 2017Richard Sykes, longtime men's golf coach for North Carolina State University, will be retiring at the end of the season after 46 years coaching the Wolfpack. Sykes, who was inducted into the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame in 2001, is a four-time Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year. He led NC State to its first ACC Championship in 1990 and has coached the team to 23 NCAA Regionals and 12 NCAA Championships. He has also coached six individual ACC Champions, two ACC Players of the Year, 34 All-Americans, and one NCAA Champion and Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Barbasol recipient in Matt Hill.
