10 marvels of American architecture
Dave G. Houser Recreation & LeisureFor many of us, architecture is one of the most exciting aspects of travel. We enjoy seeing how cities convey space and how designers have played with styles and shapes to create the surroundings where we live and do our business.

The icons behind the icons
Pablo Deferrari Transportation Technology & AutomotiveAction figures … that’s it. KISS had theirs, so did the A-Team; even a professor at the University of the Ozarks had a few of his academic colleagues turned into chiseled plastic replicas. Porsche should have their version with a gang of four guys ripe for immortalization. Isn’t time to finally put a name to the face staring at you from the garage?

How to transport a firearm on an airline
John McAdams Recreation & LeisureWhile the hassle involved with airline travel — particularly the security screening process — seems to be getting worse and worse each day, transporting a firearm on an airline actually isn't as complicated as you would think. This is great news if you want to take a firearm on an airline with you for a hunting trip, shooting competition or just for self-defense. However, there is a right and a wrong way to do it.

RV fire safety: We almost lost it all
Howard Jaros Recreation & LeisureWhen it comes to RV fire safety, you must take the necessary steps to be prepared. We learned this one the hard way and almost lost our RV and everything we owned. Canned shooting is not hunting

Bike share programs gaining traction across the country
Bob Kowalski Transportation Technology & AutomotiveBike share programs are growing in popularity and availability across the country. That’s not surprising, considering that the efforts combine exercise, eco-friendliness and sharing while reducing traffic congestion — all laudable qualities. On the surface, bike share seems like a no-brainer. Compared to other forms of public transit, it puts destination in the control of the users, who can travel when and where they want. It requires no additional infrastructure as would a new rail system. Who in good conscience could be against all of that?
