Patrick Dunn

Born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma, Patrick Dunn received his bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Oklahoma in 2016. He is currently pursuing a M.Ed. in adult and higher education with an emphasis in intercollegiate athletics administration. Before joining the GCAA as the John Reis Intern, Dunn worked for the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club and the University of Oklahoma Athletics Communications office.

  Texas Tech senior Hurly Long followed up setting the course record at Pebble Beach last Saturday by claiming the individual Carmel Cup title the following day. Long, originally from Mannheim, Germany, shot three rounds under 70 over the weekend — including his record-setting 61 — to set a new Texas Tech three-round scoring record. It did not come easy, though.

  Thirty-six holes were not enough to decide the 117th U.S. Amateur Championship at historic Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Clemson sophomore Doc Redman had battled back from two down with two holes to play in the championship match versus Texas senior Doug Ghim to send the match to a decisive 37th hole.
