Myra Creighton

Myra Creighton is a partner in the Atlanta office of Fisher & Phillips LLP. Her practice focuses on advising clients concerning their obligations to employees under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act, ensuring their policies and procedures are consistent with both these laws and defending clients against employee claims alleging violations of the ADA and FMLA. Myra also counsels and defends clients concerning Title VII, ADEA and GINA issues that arise in the workplace.

  The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals recently reversed a verdict for a plaintiff police officer on his claim that his employer terminated his employment based on his disability. The court disagreed that the plaintiff had a disability. One jurist summarized the decision as: "[He] isn't disabled, he's just a jerk."
