Michael and Linda Ratcliff have been together for 29 years. After 17 years in the restaurant business, seven years in St.Thomas managing a small boutique hotel, then three years in self-storage in Dallas, they took to the road in 2009. The Ratcliffs are full-time RVers and work-camp in several parts of the country.

  Our journey of 23,000 miles started from Branson, Mo., where we had parked our RV for the past two years. Our goal had been to get jobs and pay off our 2008 Silverado Duramax 2500HD before starting our travels again. After the last payment was made, my wife was restless and insisted the reason we had wheels on our house was so that we could see the country. It didn't take us long to learn a few lessons the hard way. Hopefully, our experience can pay off in good advice for you.
