Holly Hansen-Thomas is associate professor of bilingual education and English as a second language at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. Her research centers on the education of secondary-level English language learners (ELLs) in content areas, with a focus on math. She currently works with inservice teachers of math and science in rural areas to improve their expertise and knowledge base in working with their ELLs.
