Dr. Fred Ferguson, DDS, Distinguished Teaching Professor - Emeritus, built a 42-year career (1975-2017) as a health educator at the School of Dental Medicine, Stony Brook University, and was also Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Medicine. During his career, Ferguson developed oral health programs for children with HIV infection, chronic health problems, special needs and craniofacial deformities. Currently, he is the Assistant Director Pediatric Dentistry, Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn New York.
Ferguson is a highly sought after speaker who has regularly presented to professional, consumer and community groups. He has also consulted on healthcare with hospitals, organizations and corporations. Ferguson has published articles and co-authored two book chapters. He is President/CEO and founder of Health Migration Consulting Inc. and Aboutsmilesworld Ltd, which are focused on improving the quality of care and reducing cost through consumer accountability, stakeholder collaboration and organization integration.
