Eric Mold
Eric Mold joined the Royal Air Force as a boy entrant exactly one week after World War II ended. “They forgot to tell the recruiters it was over,” Eric says. He transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1955, and most of his 30-year career was spent flying jet fighters, starting with Vampires and culminating with Starfighters, the jewel in his his career crown. Upon retirement, Eric and his wife lived and cruised aboard their yachts for 18 years. He is now retired and lives in Vancouver.

Wednesday, October 23, 2013While I was doing my ground job at Cold Lake, Alberta, I had a wonderful boss for a while. Unfortunately, he was about to retire after many years of service. Somehow, he had been able to arrange one last swing through the Canadian bases in Europe, just a few days before he was finally released from the service.
