Ed Kirk
Ed Kirk, CEM, LEED AP, is the energy manager for Johns Hopkins University. Acting like an internal consultant, he assists each campus's facilities team in their efforts to find and evaluate potential projects that will help them reach their goal of eliminating half of their greenhouse gases by 2025. Ed has 25 years of facilities design and operations experience, most in educational institutional environments. He has designed, implemented or fixed many energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy projects. Ed has a BS in mechanical (systems) engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and an MS in environmental management and policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
