Amanda Morrow, BSN, RN, has 37 years nursing experience including employment in medical/surgical patient care and ambulatory care settings. She also worked in an endocrine clinic as a diabetes educator, insulin pump trainer and BLS instructor. With more than 25 years at the VA Roseburg Healthcare System in Oregon, Amanda currently serves as a nurse educator and simulation program coordinator.
James Hay, Ed.D, MSN, RN, CRRN, has 22 years of experience as a registered nurse in clinical leadership, education, physical rehabilitation, military and civilian critical care. Dr. Hay received his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Since his appointment to the Veteran's Healthcare Administration, Dr. Hay has trained more than 6,000 allied health professionals in communication, patient safety and teamwork. For the past 31 years, Dr. Hay served in the U.S. Army. In 2010, he was mobilized to Walter Reed Army Medical Center and awarded "Best Critical Care Instructor" award while also caring for the wounded warriors and their families. Dr. Hay is currently the education director at VA Roseburg Healthcare System.
